SHBELC has a strong commitment to providing high quality education and care to ALL children. Therefore, the education programs, as well as the indoor and outdoor facilities have been specifically designed to suit children of all ages and abilities as the centre is fully DDA compliant. Educators work closely with families, allied health professionals, therapists, Pre-School Field Officer and Inclusion Support Professionals to ensure each child is supported and provided with the best opportunities to thrive.

Inclusion support is a collaborative process and works best when all stakeholders provide consistent and clear goals. SHBELC encourages support services and allied health services to visit the program areas and work with the child within their learning environment. This provides greater opportunities to then work alongside the child’s educators and provide a consistent approach to their inclusion support goals and needs.

Once your child is enrolled at SHBELC, the educators, Education Manager or Centre Manager will work with families to seek out available support services, resources and possible funding avenues to further support the child’s inclusion.
